Achieving space and operational efficiency while saving costs

KSB Pumps, India’s leading pump manufacturer, was setting up a 120,000 sq ft manufacturing unit near Shirwal in Pune. The client was keen on a solution with low operating and maintenance costs. The height of the building at 17 metres made air distribution a major challenge. As other services were being routed through the ceiling, the client also wanted HVAC elements to consume the least amount of ceiling space. We recommended the installation of single stage evaporative cooling units with a combination of HVLS fans and minimum ducting to ensure better distribution. This solution enabled us to reduce electric power requirement as we installed static fans as compared to the conventional ducted system. April 28, 2020
